“For someone who is not a nurse, she had a wonderful message of pride & importance for our profession. Thank you!” —RN Evaluation of Silence to Voice Presentation
Bernice Buresh’s Silence to Voice presentations provide opportunities for nurses to craft compelling stories and develop strategies that articulate and promote the value of nursing work. They show nurses how to seize opportunities that occur every day to communicate about their knowledgeable caregiving and to increase public support for nursing.
Silence to Voice objectives are:
•To increase nurses' mastery in constructing positive and accurate messages about their work.
•To develop themes that gain nurses greater respect, recognition, reward, and resources for their work.
•To identify and overcome internal obstacles that reinforce nurses' silence.
